Floor Repair - Job One
Here's how we make sure your flooring is solid, safe and beautiful from the start. Before anything else, we will assess the floor and consult with you on any corrections or repairs and why they are recommended for your wood floor. With that in mind, we set about replacing any boards that may be unsafe or unfit, filling any cracks and setting nails to ensure a smooth finish and a great look.
Floor Sanding - Dustless System
Dustless floor refinishing can restore that beautiful shine to your wood flooring. It takes much less time than traditional methods, and is less expensive than doing a full-blown refinishing project. Don't forget that dustless flooring is so much better for those of us with allergies!
Floor Staining- Customizing the Color of Your Wood Floor
Staining is performed after sanding and before finishing. This is an additional cost and done upon request but is a great way to customize the color of the grain to aesthetically match or contrast your home. The brand of stain we use is Minwax, and you can view the wide range of colors through their website.
Floor Finishing - Sealing and Beautifying Your Wood Floor
Finally, after sanding or staining we then apply three coats of oil-based polyurethane (or water based if you prefer), with your choice of satin/matte, semi-gloss, or high-gloss. Our standard finish is satin/matte so please let us know if you request a higher sheen. This seals the wood and brings out the grain for a wonderful look that's durable, and a long lasting finish for your wood floors.
